Coordinated-generic technical design model
Design Framework for Building Services 5th Edition (BG 6/2018), written by David Churcher, John Sands & Martin Ronceray, and published by BSRIA in June 2018 defines a coordinated-generic technical design model as: ‘A model showing detailed building services designs, with locations and sizes of all items of plant, pipes, ducts and cable containment using generic objects in positions that have been spatially coordinated between separate engineering services and also with architecture and structure. The model will not show hangers or supports apart from builders’ work items. This is analogous to the level of detail in Coordinated working drawings, but using generic objects.’
